The Rock got a nice payday for his WWE work the past few months.
Back in January, it was revealed that The Rock was joining the TKO Group’s board of directors to help guide the WWE’s future direction following Vince McMahon’s departure from the company.
Immediately after the announcement, the famous wrestler returned to the ring and was involved in one of the most captivating WWE storylines in years that made this year’s WrestleMania event an incredible success.
“Biggest WrestleMania ever” was never just a tagline. Between the level of talent in the ring & behind the scenes, & the passion of the @WWEUniverse, it’s no surprise #WrestleMania XL set records across the board. Thank you to everyone who made this the biggest WrestleMania EVER. pic.twitter.com/1r6jH0l5gD

On Wednesday, it was revealed that The Rock was paid $9.41 million in TKO group stock shares after WrestleMania for “completion of certain services described.”
Dwayne Johnson received 96,558 TKO shares on Sunday, which vested "upon completion of certain services described" in his Jan 2024 WWE contract.

The Rock earned those $9 million, considering how brilliantly he built up the Cody storyline with live appearances on RAW and Smackdown.
It seems like The Rock will take a bit of a break from wrestling and could possibly return to acting very soon.
