Ohio State’s New Football Locker Room With Lebron’s Logo Is Must-See

Few universities in America are willing to invest in their football program like Ohio State. While the state has two NFL teams in the Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals, Ohio State football may be the state’s most popular team.

That level of devotion results in a lot of investment from boosters and the university into the program.

A new locker room for the football team shows just how devoted they are, as it’s incredible.

Take a look at the new digs at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center, which hosts the Ohio State football program’s day-to-day operations.

That’s a pretty sick locker room, even if it’s too narrow and not open enough for my own personal tastes. But the amenities seem top-notch, functional, and well-thought-out.

Ohio native and Nike Athlete LeBron James got his logo in the locker room, as well. He’s gifted things to the football program before, like custom cleats last year.

This is a big year for the Ohio State Buckeyes program and Head Coach Ryan Day. They’ve lost four total regular season games the last three years. But, three of those losses have been to rival Michigan, and that kept them out of the College Football Playoff twice.  With no Big Ten titles or national titles in the last three years despite an incredible amount of talent, Ryan Day’s seat is hot enough that he probably needs to win something this year if he wants to be sure of his job.

Thankfully for him, he’s got likely the best roster in college football. Superstar wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. is off to the NFL and starting quarterback Kyle McCord transferred to Syracuse. But, they brought in Kansas State transfer Will Howard to be the likely starter. And, notable players like defensive ends JT Tuimoloau and Jack Sawyer, cornerback Denzel Burke, running back TreVeyon Henderson, and wide receiver Emeka Egbuka all decided to pass up high selections in the NFL Draft to come back and try to win a national title. And, they added a great transfer class headlined by two of the nation’s best players in running back Quinshon Judkins and safety Caleb Downs.

Will this new locker room help that loaded roster get over the top? It likely won’t make a difference. But, recruits will love it, and it’s fun to look at in the meantime.

Ohio State opens their season against Akron on August 31.
