Last week when we took a little tour of Leonardo DiCaprio’s old bachelor pad in New York’s West Village we mentioned that celebrity homes often look more like museums than places where people actually conduct their day to day lives.
Somewhat surprisingly, this is also the case with the stunning Beverly Hills mansion comedian David Spade has recently put on the market for $19,995,000.
Just like Leo, Spade has been a lifelong bachelor and dated a slew of famous ladies including including Heather Locklear, Lara Flynn Boyle, Julie Bowen, Teri Hatcher, and Naya Rivera. He also dated and had a child with Playboy Playmate Jillian Grace.
So if you’re in the market for a dope bachelor pad on the other side of the States, David Spade’s place has worked pretty well for him over the years.
The 57-year-old comedian bought the home back in 2001 for “just” $4 million, so he stands to make a tidy profit if he can get the full $20 mill.
The 6,426 square foot mansion in Trousdale Estates was built in 1978 by architect Edward Fickett.
The home’s listing agent Stuart Vetterick tells the Wall Street Journal, “If you want to be somebody, that’s where you hang your hat.”
It comes with four bedrooms, six and a half bathrooms, and one very sweet pool.
According to the home’s listing on Realtor.com, “this tennis court estate features privacy, volume, and resort-like amenities. Tucked behind gates, this impressive residence is situated on an expansive lot and boasts a noticeable design prowess, floor-to-ceiling windows, and captivating views of the city and Pacific Ocean.
”A classic double door entry reveals an open and versatile floor plan showcasing a light-and-bright formal living room, an indoor living tree and an elevated dining room. A spacious upstairs master suite has it all — a loft area, dual bathrooms, walk-in closets, and a terrace with breathtaking views.
The sun drenched, dine-in, gourmet kitchen was renovated with a bold, yet classic palette and finished with a large island counter, breakfast bar, and fine appliances. A sitting room features an entertainer’s bar with seating for 6, a double-sided fireplace, treetop views and access to a flat grassy outdoor pad.
The home’s exterior offers an inviting backyard with pool and large patio, a full-size and flood-lit north/south tennis court, a fire pit, and a generous space for a gathering.
“The house is just like a window city,” says Spade. “It’s like, ‘Come over and bring Windex.'”

“There was a little Joe Dirt money that went into it, then a little Just Shoot Me! money that went into it,” Spade reveals.
So why on Earth would David Spade decide, after 20 years, that he doesn’t want to live in this sick home anymore? Because he just bought a $13.85 million, 11,300 square foot mansion in Hollywood Hills.
Interested? All it will run you is approximately $96,891 in monthly mortgage payments, with a small $3,999,000 down payment, of course.
See how David Spade’s old pad compares to other real estate owned by famous folks like Lincoln Riley, Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake, Kanye West, Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher, Leonardo DiCaprio, and others.
