The New York Giants recently unveiled a throwback uniform to be worn as an alternative in the 2024 season. That design was met with immediate criticism.
One of the newest critics was rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers, who the team selected with its first-round pick in April.
He says he’ll do his best to make the jerseys look good – but no promises!The design was meant to be a nod to the inaugural 1925 squad as the franchise celebrates 100 years of existence. Instead, it became a punchline for a team that’s struggled to find any real success for the better part of the last decade.

After seeing rival fans lambaste the new look, now, the Giants have current players bashing the throwback uniforms.
Malik Nabers isn’t a fan of the design.
“It’s gonna be hard to swag it out,” he said of the jerseys. “That’s all I got to say about it.”

The rookie will go from wearing one of the cleanest looks in college football at LSU to this leatherheads style commemoration in the coming season.
And admittedly, even he might not be able to make the getups look good!
Jerseys aside, Malik Nabers hopes to impress NFL fans with more than just his on-field flair. The pass catcher is looking to see breakout success similar to Tigers of the past, Ja’Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson.
After racking up 1,569 yards as a junior in Baton Rouge, the first-round pick will attempt to continue producing as a pro.
