Gatorade Is Getting Its Money’s Worth With Caitlin Clark’s Subconscious Brand Promo At Press Conference

Caitlin Clark is a pro’s pro, both on and off of the court, whether she knows it or not. Gatorade is getting its money’s worth through its partnership with the Indiana Fever’s superstar rookie!

Her ability to make sure that the brand gets is recognition is rather impressive.

WNBA fans took note of how Clark handled herself during a press conference after the second preseason game of her career.

It might have been on purpose. It might have been an accident.

Either way, she got Gatorade its face time!

The viral moment took place shortly after the media availability got underway. Clark was asked about her effectiveness on what was, scoring-wise, an “off night.”

As the reporter asked his question, she took a swig from her drink— which was, of course, Gatorade. Clark signed a multi-year partnership with the sports beverage company while at Iowa that will carry into her professional career.

Shortly after taking a sip from her Lemon/Lime thirst quencher, the 22-year-old placed it down on the table in front of her. Clark proceeded to turn the drink so that the G was facing out and everyone — including the cameras — could see. It was brilliant execution.

If the bottle turn was something that Clark was asked to do by Gatorade and/or her PR folks, she made them very proud. If it was something that she knowingly did on her own, brava!

There is also the possibility that this was a completely unknowing move that happened naturally after accidentally bumping the mic while taking a drink. If that was the case, and it was entirely unintentional, Clark is making a lot of friends over at PepsiCo, the parent company for Gatorade.

My guess is that this was something that had been practiced. Or, at the very least, Caitlin Clark saw other high-profile athletes do this in the past and took note. She’s a pro’s pro!!
