Shaquille O’Neal did not seem pleased with Draymond Green’s recent comments about a fantasy matchup between the 2015 Golden State Warriors and the 2001 LA Lakers team.
During a recent podcast, Shaq and Green debated who would win a series between the 2015 Warriors and the 2001 Lakers.
According to Green, he and Andrew Bogut could have double-teamed Shaq and prevented him from getting the ball.
When asked who was guarding Kobe Bryant, Draymond responded with Klay Thompson, leading Shaq to roll his eyes in disgust.
Draymond Green: “I don’t think any one player on our team could have guarded you. I do think there were defensive schemes that we could have thrown at you to affect you. One is not letting you get the ball, so we’re going to guard you with a guy in front of you and guy behind you… We’re leaving somebody over there to shoot, because you guys couldn’t shoot.”
Shaq: “Who guarding Kobe?”
Green: “Klay Thompson.”
Draymond Green says that if the championship-winning Warriors were to play Shaq’s Lakers, he would not allow Shaq to get the ball
Shaq: “Who guarding Kobe?”
Draymond: “Klay”

Fans mostly agreed with Shaq that the Lakers would have easily beaten the Warriors due to the Bryant-Thompson matchup.
Kobe was cooking Klay at 33 right before he tore his Achilles on pace for 40 this game. Imagine what he would do when he was in his prime to Klay. https://t.co/1CGkg0qTyI pic.twitter.com/Yi44aTfRyI
