Jonah Hill recently listed his New York City loft in NoHo for a smooth $11 million.
Hill bought the condo back in 2015 for just over $9 million, so he’s looking to profit close to $2 million on the sale.
Hill’s estimated net worth is currently around $50 million. He was 28th on Forbes’s list of the highest-paid actors in the world from 2014-2015.
About the Schumacher Building
The stripped-down pad is one of the 20 units in the Schumacher building at 36 Bleecker. The Schumacher building was a prewar construction built in 1920.
Hill’s is Unit 5A, and it features 12-foot barrel-vaulted ceilings with exposed brick and an insane amount of natural light thanks to all of the windows.
Although the loft could be outfitted with four bedrooms, Hill’s was converted to three bedrooms to create more space for each room.
Best Features of Jonah Hill’s Condo
The master bedroom has its own separate wing and includes four massive windows. The connected bathroom has two large windows as well and includes two Calacatta marble baths.
In the living room are four windows of the same size as the master bedroom. The room also features a custom projector and screen for theatre-style entertainment.
The kitchen is outfitted with the same Calacatta marble for the countertops. Other design nods include a stone island with a marble waterfall and custom cabinetry.
And perhaps the coolest feature of the unit is the city views—the place looks over the building’s private garden.
According to Robb Report, the private garden at the Schumacher was designed by Ken Smith, the artist who created the 17,000 square foot private rooftop garden at the MoMA.
Why Jonah Hill is Selling His NYC Property
There’s no specific reason as to why Hill is selling the condo, but he’s an LA guy by heart. He’s also publicly taken up surfing in the past couple of years.
Last spring Hill actually bought a $9 million dollar property in a gated community in Malibu. Other residents of the community include Sting, Flea, John McEnroe, and Rob Reiner.
What’s even more interesting about the property is Hill bought it from Richard and Laurie Stark, the founders of Chrome Hearts.
He also bought his Santa Monica home (supposedly his main residence) in 2019 from Jesse Jo Stark, the daughter of Richard and Laurie.
While Hill might not have any other NYC properties at the moment, it’s safe to say he won’t have any shortage of places to live in Cali.
Perhaps he buys something else in the Big Apple. Your guess is as good as mine.
