Bryson DeChambeau brought out Paige Spiranac for a ‘Break 50 Challenge’ as the two have filmed a handful of videos together in recent months that have put up big numbers on YouTube, so it only made sense to keep that partnership going. He also made mention of Paige’s top notch short game as an asset in the ‘Break 50′ challenge.
They attempt the challenge at Albany in The Bahamas where the Hero World Challenge (Tiger Woods’ tournament) is played. It’s also where Sam Bankman Fried was running FTX out of before the world collapsed on that company and where Bryson happens to live when he’s not in Texas or traveling on the LIV Golf Tour.
Do they break 50 from the red tees? No. Do they come reaaaaaaally close and put up a ridiculous score between the two of them? Absolutely. The video is 51+ minutes long though so I’d suggest jumping to the end or looking at the ‘most watched’ moments on YouTube to find Paige Spiranac and Bryson DeChambeau’s best shots.
One point of note is the ‘Break 50 Challenge’ that Bryson DeChambeau has been after is supposed to be played from the red tees but a look at the Albany scorecard shows that this course doesn’t have red tees. Instead, the normal ‘red tees’ at Albany in The Bahamas are the ‘Pink Tees’ on the club’s scorecard. It’s an extremely small point of contention but given that Bryson put ‘red tees’ in his video’s description it felt like something worth mentioning.
Also, -19 from any tees is a helluva score. They deserve all the credit in the world for putting up that number. That said, someone on the comments said Bryson DeChambeau needs to bring on Brooks Koepka for the nex ‘Break 50 Challenge’ video and I 100% agree with that. If any two LIV golfers are breaking 50 together from the red tees it’s those former enemies.
In somewhat related news, Paige Spiranac posted a video on X (formerly Twitter) sharing ‘things in golf that don’t make sense’ to her:

I’ve yet to come across a person who doesn’t rake their bunker on the golf course. I’m pretty easy going on the course and I’d call that out immediately if I saw someone doing it. As for ’rounds that take over 5 hours’ that’s sometimes just up to the golf gods. If it’s a busy course and the weekend, sometimes there’s nothing that can be done about it.
