Did you know that Ayesha and Steph Curry are the godparents of Lindsay Lohan’s son? You do now, and here’s how it happened.
Lohan, 37, is married to financier Bader Shammas and lives in Dubai (where she’s been since 2014) with him and their 7-month-old son Luai.
So how on God’s green Earth did Steph and Ayesha Curry become her kid’s godparents?“I saw you recently,” Jimmy Fallon told Lohan during an appearance she made on The Tonight Show this week. “You were at a Warriors game where Steph Curry…”
“Oh yeah, in Atlanta,” Lindsay jumped in.
“Yeah,” Fallon continued. “He became only the second player over 35 to score 60 points in a game. It was a big deal. But I have a picture with you and your husband and Steph Curry with an autographed jersey. And the jersey. What does it say there?”
Fallon then showed the photo.
“Oh, he says ‘Your godparents love you,'” Lindsay Lohan replied.
“So Luai’s godparents are Steph and Ayesha Curry?” a surprised Fallon then asked. “That’s not too bad. How do you guys know each other?”
“Well, so my husband knows Michael Mina, the chef, and we were in Dubai, and Michael Mina kept saying to Bader, he was like, ‘You need to introduce Lindsay and Ayesha. I need them to meet.’
“So she happened to be coming to Dubai and we met and we just clicked right off the bat. It’s so funny because, like, when you get older in life, you don’t make, like, adult friends and friendships that grow.
“And she’s been with me since — I was like, ‘I really want to have kids soon,'” Lohan continued. “And then I got pregnant. And then… So it was very fitting that she…”
Fallon then interrupted to point out that Ayesha Curry is in Lindsay Lohan’s new movie Irish Wish (that’s them pictured together above at a screening of the film).
Today, Ayesha Curry also talked about becoming godparents to Lindsay Lohan’s kid on LIVE with Kelly and Mark.
Who knew?!
