The dumpster fire that was Tuesday night’s Presidential Debate brought out emotions from just about everyone that tuned in. The emotions of Trail Blazers’ big man Hassan Whiteside appeared to have hit a rather high mark during the debate as he allegedly sent out a tweet writing “i can’t do this for four more years fuck america bro im moving to hawaii.
”Yikes.

Anyways, after Barstool Sports shared a photo of the alleged tweet, Whiteside replied back writing “this photoshopped more Fake news i see It’s no even 9:36 where I’m at.”
For those not keeping up here, not only did Whiteside say he’s leaving America by moving to Hawaii, a state of the United States, he’s claiming his tweet is fake because of the time stamp which brings up the question of whether or not he understands how time zones work.
Twitter time stamps reflect the time zone of the actual user and not the time zone of the person who sent out the tweet. Whiteside posted numerous Instagram Live videos to his account on Tuesday showing he was in Seattle. The Presidential Debate began at 6:00 PM PST and went on for around two hours, so posting a reaction tweet at 9:36 PM PST would be a pretty normal move for anyone on the West Coast.

It’s unclear how or why someone would share a photo of a fake tweet from Whiteside, but him claiming the tweet was photoshopped is basically the only route he can take here other than completely ignoring the situation.
