Justin Bieber played multiple critical roles in the NHL All-Star Game festivities over the weekend, from being a celebrity coach of Auston Matthews’ team to his fashion label ‘Drew House’ designing the All-Star Game jerseys.
But it was Justin Bieber’s hockey past that seemed to wow people the most.
Prior to Auston Matthews’ first 3-on-3 game, Justin Bieber came out (mic’d up) and skated with the NHL All-Stars which got a lot of people talking about how Bieber was once such a talented skater he even got offers from NHL teams to tryout for their squads (12 years ago). The hockey players all seemed stoked to meet Justin Bieber prior to the games:

At least in terms of financial success, Justin Bieber made the right choice staying away from the NHL. He has an estimated net worth of $300 million from his music and fashion career and he still has all of his teeth and doesn’t have any of the scars or broken bones he might have accrued over the years if he pursued a career on skates.
In the mic’d up clip, Sergei Bobrovsky asked Bieber if he was going to skate for the game and Justin responded “No, just for warmups. Otherwise, I’ll get hurt.”
As for the crowd and the NHL players seeing Justin Bieber’s hockey skills for the first time, Auston Matthews spoke on that with the AP‘s Stephen Whyno. Matthews said “Everybody enjoyed it — he obviously really enjoyed it. It was a cool moment for him to get on the ice and snap it around with a couple of the fellas. I think everybody really got a kick out of that, honestly.”
