Well, he did it. The creator of Facebook and Meta CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, celebrated his 40th birthday and his wife Dr. Priscilla Chan threw a nostalgia-packed party for him where rooms from his past were recreated for the party including Mark’s childhood bedroom, dorm room, and more.
To share some photos of his 40th birthday celebration, Mark Zuckerberg took to Instagram which he purchased for $1 billion back in 2012 (est. to be worth $47.4B as of last year) to share some photos of the scene.
His caption explains the images which are recreated rooms from his past including his childhood bedroom where he learned to code, the Harvard dorm room where Facebook was launched (Room H33), his first apartment with nothing but a mattress on the floor and the spot he was living when Facebook hit 100 million users, his lockdown room from 2020, and Pinocchio’s Pizzeria.

Here’s Mark Zuckerberg and Bill Gates sitting together, the 4th and 5th wealthiest men in the world according to the latest Bloomberg Billionaire’s Index. Just a couple of guys being dudes at a birthday party.
Mark Zuckerberg’s ‘lockdown room’ where he worked back in 2020:
Guys will see this and think there’s absolutely nothing wrong with having a bedroom like this and you know what, we’re 100% correct. This is peak living.
Carthage…but why?
I can’t say that I fully understand the ‘Carthago delenda est’ t-shirt Mark Zuckerberg’s wearing at his 40th birthday party. See it here:
I’m familiar with the phrase. In fact, I just finished reading ‘Hannibal and Scipio Africanus: The Lives and Careers of the Second Punic War’s Legendary Generals’ by Charles River Editors just last week and dove into ‘The Punic Wars’ by Adrian Goldsworthy this week so truly, Mark Zuckerberg is speaking my language here with the ‘Carthage Must Be Destroyed’ t-shirt but I guess I’m out of the loop because I don’t understand how it relates to a 40th birthday party. That said, it looks great with his gold chain.
Not pictured anywhere in the 40th Birthday Party Photos posted by Mark Zuckerberg were any pics of ‘Mark’s Meats’, the macadamia nut-fed, beer-drinking wagyu cattle he’s raising in Hawaii to create the world’s most delicious beef. Surely there was enough to go around, right?
