Derek Carr went on a team bonding trip with hew new teammates in New Orleans over the past weekend.
In true bayou fashion, the Saints players went bowfishing for Alligator Gar, a species of fish that can grow up to 10 feet long and weigh over 300 pounds.
Speaking about the bowfishing bonding trip, Derek Carr revealed just how primal of an experience it was.
Carr told Saints beat reporter Terrin Waack the trip was “electric.”He went on to say they pulled an alligator gar onto the boat and someone began hitting the fish on the head with a hammer. Derek Carr “said ‘bro, what the heck?'” and “was shook how wild it got at times.”
