The wife of LA Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, Kelly Stafford, continues to manufacture headlines while telling the world she wants to move on.

Days after Kelly Stafford was accused of manufacturing outrage by claiming Lions fans were booing her children, she was immediately contradicted by none other than herself.

An audio clip made the rounds of Kelly Stafford straight-up saying she knows Lions fans weren’t booing her daughters and they were booing her.

Never one to let sleeping dogs lie, Kelly Stafford took to Instagram to claim that she “truly” doesn’t “wanna dwell on what happened” and asked everyone to “move on.” And in doing so, she continued to shine a big ol’ spotlight on herself, while also contradicting herself once again.

Her full quote on Instagram Stories is:

“I didn’t know if I should post this video or not because I truly don’t wanna dwell on what happened. This was our experience on the field. I know you are booing me, but my kids don’t know the difference even if I try to explain it to them. The whole scenario is hard to accept, but not as hard as the questioning of my integrity. It happened, own it, and let’s move on.”

Outkick’s Joe Kinsey posted a screenshot of Kelly Stafford’s Instagram Stories on X:

If there’s one thing we know about moving on it’s that it’s always best to keep rehashing the same thing while contradicting yourself once again.

Kelly Stafford says “this was our experience on the field” while also admitting she knows her daughters weren’t being booed and that Lions fans were booing her.

Stafford also said she has trouble explaining to her daughters (ranging from 3.5 to 6.5yo) that fans are booing Kelly, not them. I’m a dad. I have a son around the same age.

I’m not here to give anyone parenting advice but I’m confident my son would understand if I said “fans are booing me, not you, and here’s why…” that he would understand. I’ve always ascribed to the Fred Rogers school of thought children are capable of way more than we give them credit for but the bar here is pretty low, and it starts with saying “nobody is booing you and it’s all in good fun.”

Ultimately, the Rams lost to Lions and Matthew Stafford is out of the NFL Playoffs which means the Kelly Stafford news cycle should be done. Yet here we are, talking about Kelly Stafford contradicting herself once again.
