Patrick Mahomes really didn’t like that offensive offsides call during the Bills-Chiefs game.
Late in the fourth quarter, Kadarius Toney was called for offensive offsides on what would have been a go-ahead touchdown, which led to Mahomes having a complete meltdown on the sidelines because he didn’t agree with the call.
Referee Carl Cheffers has already gone on record to say that the Toney offsides was so egregious that he had no choice but to call it.
“If it’s egregious enough, it would be beyond a warning. So really regardless of whether or not he was warned at other times during the day, if it was an egregious alignment to where he was over the ball — whether he had warnings or not — it would still be a foul.”
In pool report, official Carl Cheffers was asked if Toney was warned about being offside.
