Louisville slugger Dylan Hoy became Enemy No. 1 for Clemson during a Saturday afternoon baseball matchup. The infielder disrespectfully taunted Tiger players after smacking a solo home run in a come-from-behind win.
That trash talk came after he took a very lengthy moment to gaze at his mammoth shot as it sailed over the right field wall.
He wanted all the smoke! The Cardinals landed a 7-6 victory over the Tigers, bringing them back to .500 in ACC play ahead of Sunday’s series rubber match. That win came in comeback fashion as the Cards trailed 5-2 heading into the seventh inning of play.
Enter Dylan Hoy.
The third baseman stepped up to this dish with no one on and no one out, and quickly sent a 3-2 delivery from Clemson pitcher Nick Clayton sailing over the outfield fence.
Not only did he watch the no-doubter leave the yard from his initial position in the batter’s box, but he then personally trash talked Tiger players as he rounded the bases.

The disrespect!
It took him about 30 seconds to touch home plate after making that initial contact.
You can see Hoy begging for a reaction as he chirped each infielder individually before signaling to the Clemson dugout upon rounding third base. To keep tensions from rising too high, the umpiring crew took a moment to speak with the Louisville bench after the fact.
The Cardinals will gladly take the slap on the wrist for Dylan Hoy’s antics. The home run would spark a comeback with Louisville tacking on two more runs later in the inning before taking the lead for good in the following frame.
